The Tea House

[felicity]

Felicity enters the Tea House, wearily she drops a bulging bag to the floor. She dusts off her cloak and drapes it carefully next to the bag and seats herself.

"Tea please, and also bring tea for our new guest"

Seeing Chu-Mei Felicity nods her head in her direction

"Chu-Mei, I believe I have found the particular ingredients you required for your alchemical work, however, I noticed a another human on my way back, something of a fop by all appearances. And I see we also have another visitor. Felicity Schwartz at your service"

Felicity inclines her head towards the fae gentleman.

[Mie-Lin]

*mie-lin walks in and on seeing Firzenzi bows deeply* Welcome Firenzia-sampia is am good seeing you *she grins* please feel free to visit der geisha house sometime.
*bowing again she goes and sit with Chu-mie & Felicity, nodding to the other kitsune at the table*

Felicity smiles at Mei-Lin

"It is indeed good to see you all again, and pleasant to be seated in good company with a wonderful cup of tea"

Felicity hands the bulging bag to Chu-Mei

"The mushrooms are fresh my dear, with wonderful red ones with the white spots that grow on the surface, quite lethal of course"

Felicity smiles as if in recollection of another time.

"They work rather well once ingested, I would suggest perhaps in a meal"

[Mie-Lin]

*mie-lin guestured for a slave* tea.. *then seats herself next to chu-mie*

[Miso]

Hurumph! Miso not deserving "konichiwa" Miso suppose?

*look like a very wet Foxkin, half covered in soap bubbles*

[Slave Overseer]

*Very elderly, oriental drow male emerges from the back of the tea house carrying a tray of empty cups, and approaches the table where the majority of the guests are seated*
*Behind him trails a younger male drow, burdened by the heavy slave collar around his throat and a tray bearing a tea pot and a kettle of hot water*
*The older drow sets his tray down, and steps to one side as the younger one places his carefully on the table*
*The young slave then proceeds to take the cups and place one in front of each guest, and an extra one at the seat nearest Firenzi. He then carefully organises the kettle and tea pot on the table, and places a small jar and a bamboo whisk next to the tea pot. Then he takes both trays and step away from the table*
*The elder drow steps forward again, and, with a practised hand, spoons 15 small sccops of green powder from the jar into the tea pot. He then pours a small amount of water from the kettle and whisks the contents of the tea pot, before adding more water and whisking again*
*With practised grace, the old drow pours an equal measure of tea into each cup upon the table, and bows to the guests and steps back, as the young drow slave hurries forward, bows, and places the kettle, jar, whisk and tea pot upon his trays and backs away towards the Tea House's kitchens.*
*The elderly drow turns, bows towards Firenzi, and turns to the Kitchens. With a little effort it is possible to hear him muttering under his breath*
"The House masters dishonour our Ancestors with this insult to tradition"

[felicity]

Felicity inclines her head in the direction of the elderly male

"Domo arigato"

She takes her time to appreciate the aroma of the steaming cup, then takes a delicate sip.

*Mmmm perfect*

[nathaniel]

*Nathaniel walks in*

Ah tea. Make it snappy I`m in a hurry being an ambassador whanot"

*Drops himself down casually and starts whistling baadly*

[Slave Overseer]

*A young male drow, roughly 13 years old by human standards, hurrys out of the back of the tea house carrying a tray supporting a single, steaming cup*

*He places it infront of Nathaniel, bows, and turns towards the back rooms again*

*As he turns however, he catchs the tea cup with his elbow, knocking it over and tipping it's contents directly into Nathaniels lap*

[nathaniel]

*owww*

Blast you boy. My trousers.

Grrrr.

I may not be one of you precious drow but I am important to the nation.

So if you value your life bring me a decent pair of clean trousers now and something stronger than tea to drink.

[felicity]

Felicity hastily hides her smiling face behind her fan.

thinks *oh dear, not exactly the best way to speak with our hosts I would have thought, most ill-mannered*

[felicity]

Felicity finishes the last of her tea and rises from her seat. She inclines her head to Chu-Mei, Miso, Mei-Lin and Nathaniel,

"I thnk it may be wise to speak more gently sir, our hosts are pleasant but as we are gaijin, we are of lower status, however honoured we may be here."

Felicity smiles at Chu-Mei and leaves the Tea House.

Perharps dear lady, but I find incentive with authourity and threats can motivate them quite well.

[Chu-Mei]

Natheniel am thinking that you should be more respectful of drow.
You not that important to faction and even less important to clan.[glow=green,2,300] She looks down at one of the foxes at her feet and growls something. The fox leaves the tea house at a run[/glow]

Felicity turns at the door,

"I believe the Mistress here holds a different view"

Felicity walks slowly from the Tea House, heading to her chamber

Excuse Me!

I come to trade with the clan.

Due to slightt complications I find my ship sunk. My missus and son imprisoned. I spend 2 years in this dark, dank world. I go to the surface to asist them. Walk sucidialy, into enemy camps to negotiate a truce and I am nothing.

*after nodding to Felicity, mie-lin looks across at natheniel*

*mie lin pouts in a disaproving way, and then sips her tea again*
